Scholarship Description

The selected applicant(s) will receive up to a $1,000.00 scholarship to help fund their college tuition and/or miscellaneous education expenses. Completing the application will provide the STACY Board members with information about each applicant.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarship amount: Up to $1,000
  • Funds may be used for tuition or miscellaneous education expenses
  • Selection is final and made at the sole discretion of the STACY Board

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • Must reside in one of the following California counties: Sacramento, Contra Costa, San Joaquin, Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sutter, Yolo, or Solano
  • Must be admitted to or enrolled in an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Must be in good academic standing at current school
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to advancing individuals with disabilities and their families

Application Process

  1. Review the full eligibility requirements to ensure you qualify
  2. Create a single document with all required information and responses (maximum 5 pages)
  3. Use single spacing, 12-point professional font, one-inch margins, and organized formatting
  4. Attach certified copies of your most recent transcripts (must be submitted with or before award disbursement)
  5. Complete the Application Certification page separately (not included in 5-page limit)
  6. Email both the application document and the Certification page to [email protected] by September 15th

If you're a student in Northern California with a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and their families, the STACY Scholarship is a meaningful way to fund your education. While open to past recipients, priority will be given to applicants who have never been awarded the scholarship.
