This is the only scholarship I have seen that works specifically for photojournalists. Personally I think the definition is broader than you may think - yes you highschool or undergrauate reading this. The cool thing about art is that it can be interpreted in so many different ways - even if you never intended it as such - go on ahead an apply. I am sure they find joy in reading your story and your work even if it is not strict photojournalism.

Photo journalism is magical with one picture you can see 1000 words you can do 1000 deeds you can sync a ship or build one you can do anything with photojournalism your ability and desire to go get that shot Your obsession with the shot and willingness to go to any links to get it breaking laws hurting peoples feelings doing things that are Not popular sometimes The photo journalist that is good is A rebel and a nonconformist nothing can stop you from getting your shot never forget that and never forget to keep learning

Hi i believe this scholarship would help me out a lot. Coming from hispanic parents who didn't have the opportunities I now have. Earning this scholarship would mean a lot to me. Also, since I am a Journalism major with a passion for journalism I feel as if it would as well help me in my dreams to one day be a successful Journalist.
