The mission of the Undergraduate and Prestigious Scholarships Office (UPS) is to provide prospective and enrolled students with information and access to internal and external financial resources, as well as to steward the campus' philanthropic undergraduate student support funding while increasing the visibility and reputation of the university. The Undergraduate and Prestigious Scholarships Office believes in the critical need for student financial support and in the university's guiding principle of providing equitable access to higher education for the residents of California and beyond.
UC Davis has multiple undergraduate scholarships available to benefit students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The scholarships can range from $100 to $14,000 per academic year. Undergraduate scholarships are all awarded on a merit basis. Scholarship criteria may also include participation in extracurricular activities; specific college or major; career interests; geographic origin; high school or community college attended; parentage; perseverance; and many other personal characteristics. The majority of UC Davis’ scholarships are not renewed automatically; therefore, students must reapply to be considered for scholarships on an annual basis.
