The purpose of the SMA Foundation Student Scholarship is to provide tuition assistance to a graduate/undergraduate students majoring in subjects that will prepare them for a career in Sports Venue Management industry. Applicants must have completed a minimum of two years of study or be classified as a junior, must be classified as a full-time student by their university for the entire scholarship year, and must have actively performed worthy community service and have stadium-related work experience.
Please note that all applications and required supplemental materials will be reviewed and scored with the following consideration given to each of the following categories: GPA; essay, educational and career goals; school & community activities; references; and industry activities. The SMA Foundation Scholarship program strives to provide an opportunity for outstanding students enrolled in sports administration programs, with an emphasis on facility and/or event management to learn more about the profession through networking with leaders in the field in an educational, and informal setting.
