I am applying to help pay for my college education in piano music performance. I have taken piano lessons for 12 years now. I play at my church for specials. I have won TORCH 3 years in a roll at my high school, where I am currently a senior. I will graduate in May with a 3.8 GPA. I have been accepted into a 4-year college already and am very excited to start this new chapter of my life.

Marilyn B 12/31/2019 For me, it has taken Faith Faith and more Faith for this journey. When I felt like giving up the holy sprite would speak to me and whisper you can do this. In the middle of the storms, I was able to keep going. I am 59 years young and this scholarship will help me finish as well as to move forward in the second half of this fantastic voyage

I am applying for this scholarship because I have a thirst and hunger to learn more of God's Word so that I can become a more effective teacher. I am currently enrolled in Luther Rice Seminary & College and beginning to face financial difficulties in paying for my classes. I have completed 12 of the required 36 semester hours so far and I really would like to receive my Master's degree in Ministry. I pray that I can be awarded with this scholarship so that I can go on and become an influence to those who are close to me.

I along with several other coworkers were laid off our jobs unexpectedly, I have been working in my present field for over 30 years and it has been a blessing but unfortunatly my body can no longer tolerate the stress of lifting patients, Being that I have worked in the nursing home setting for so many years I have a passion for those who are transitioning through the last cycle of life. Even though my job has ended I believe this is an opportunity to peruse a career as a hospice Chaplain and or crisis Chaplin, I truly believe this is the area that God is calling me to, I have over 100 credits that are able to transfer to the Bachelors-in Christian Counseling degree, I with goal is to advance toward the Masters in the Chaplaincy program but I will need assistance getting started since I am not working at this time.

I am applying for this scholarship because I am struggling to get my Master's degree from Keiser university because of financial aid support. At this time, I have 4 more classes left to graduate, but I don't have any financial assistance. Even though I have been trying to get any other possible help, my situation remains the same. As, we all know, education is the key to success. With a master's degree, I will be able to help the community where I live in and for a better future of myself. There’s no other way people can be successful in life without taking the road of education.

But the University of California system has gone in an entirely different direction by announcing that will no longer require the SAT or ACT for all California state applicants. [...]
