The Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation aims to carry on Patsy Takemoto Mink's ideas of educational access, opportunity, and equity for low-income women and mothers. Awardees will be selected based on financial need; personal circumstance; educational path; and vocational, occupational, service, activist, or civic goals.
Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria
- Woman 17 years or older
- Mother of a child/children under 18
- Pursuing a degree at a non-profit, U.S. postsecondary institution
- Low-income
Aplication Process
- Fill out your enrollment information.
- Provide your financial, household, and personal information.
- Add professional and educational references.
- Complete short answer questions and personal essay.
Scholarships are awarded in two separate installments (one each semester) over the academic year, and may be used for direct school expenses or for living expenses while enrolled in an educational program. Awardees are notified by phone or email in late fall.
