The Dorian De Long Arts and Music Scholarship is awarded annually to one or more graduating Colorado high school students who plan on majoring or minoring in the arts (visual or performing) at a Colorado university/college/post-secondary institution. The scholarship can be used for tuition, fees, and/or other direct costs of study beginning in the upcoming fall. Recipients may re-apply for up to four consecutive years.
In addition to completing the application, applicants must submit: two letters of recommendation (at least one of which should be written by a teacher/mentor in their artistic field); a transcript; an artistic showcase; an artistic statement; and a personal essay. The mission of the Dorian De Long Arts and Music Scholarship is to support individuals engaged in arts programs, strengthening both the individuals and the communities in which they live. Applications run from January until the due date.
