Scholarship Description

The Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation, Inc. is a Masonic Program and is an appendant body to the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Bodies, a Masonic fraternity. The Trustees for the Foundation manage a Charitable Trust, the corpus of which generates funds that are used by the Trustees to fund charitable endeavors such as, a Literacy Program, contributions to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and a graduating high school seniors college scholarship program. Applicants must reside in eligible counties and be a US citizen.

It is not required that the student have any affiliation with Masonry. The student must be graduating in the upcoming Spring or Summer from a high school or other secondary school in one of the 33 counties served by the Fort Worth Scottish Rite. Students choosing either a 2-year or a 4-year college are eligible. (Students planning to work while attending a Community College might also consider submission of an application for the Major Thomas Spencer Community College Scholarship. These applications may be submitted at any time of the year.)
