The Secular Student Alliance offers a variety of student activist scholarships for full-time high-school and college students pursuing excellence in their academic studies and activists for secular values on their campus and/or in their community. Scholarships range from $1000 to $2000. The Secular Student Alliance is accepting applications for the Student Activist Scholarships. The scholarships are available to full-time students enrolled in high school or college in the United States and are designed to support students who in addition to pursuing excellence in their academic studies are also activists for secular values on their campus and/or in their community.
What secular activism have you been involved with (on campus or off)? What intersectional activism have you been involved with (on campus or off)? What activism plans do you have for this academic year? How did you come to your secularism and how do you see it remaining a part of your life? What other aspects of your identity intersect, interact with, or inform your secularism? What obstacles, barriers, or financial hardships have you faced in pursuing your academic goals? What role would this scholarship have in helping you overcome these challenges?
In addition to scholarships that apply to all high school and college students nationwide, there are also state-specific scholarships and scholarships for specific populations: Black students, Hispanic students, Jewish students, Native American students, students attending an HBCU, students using Art for activism, students outspoken on state/church separation, students who are active-duty military or a veteran.
