Colleges are expensive. I've applied for scholarship because I need tuition assistance. It will be great if I can win a scholarship to help with my college cost.

I am applying for this scholarship because my parents adopted me and 5 other children from foster care. Although they both work full-time, they do not have college funds for us. Without a scholarship, I cannot go to college.

Adriana C  on 1/29/2021 9:16:22 PM

My mother works for a credit union and my father is a government employee. My mother never went to college and my dad Did not either but he is a veteran. They are happy that I love to learn and I am excited about going to college. They saved a little for me but not enough to get through a 4 yr. I hope you can help so I can make a difference in my community and make my parents proud.

My mother and father are both coaches and teachers. They are directly committed to educating our youth and coaching our athletes. Their desire to teach has limited their finances due to the pay scales that districts follow. They have taken their time and energy to coach when others would not step up. Coaching is a thankless job, but very rewarding to them. I would not be the person I am today if I did not see how hard they work and the lives they change through just being a role model to our males and females. I want to help my parents to not feel as if they have to take another job, just to try to send me to college to play a sport I love and can be very successful in. I take my grades, behavior, and work ethic very seriously. I would like the opportunity to apply for this scholarship, so I do not cause my parents further stress in sending me to college.

Going to college would be a huge accomplishment not only for me but for my entire family. I would be the first in my family to not only attend college but to graduate. Working hard throughout my high school years has been my mission to make sure that I have the best grades and test scores to get me into college. My dream is to study Pre-Physical Therapy to help people in need. I played sports all my life and know how Physical Therapy can help players. If I am awarded this scholarship I pledge to make sure that I do the best I can to keep up the grades and graduate. Thank you for your consideration. Jacob Sharp

My father passed away and my step dad left so it’s me, my mom, my baby sister, and my cousin the money she makes only helps with the bills and some of the food in the house. She doesn’t make enough for me to go to a good college so I’m not sure what I’m going to do after college but I need this money if I want to even have a chance to go to the colleges I got accepted to.

I couldn't apply because my parent is unemployed

Tate M  on 2/20/2019 10:45:00 AM

I have requested an application for this opportunity. Being the fifth of seven children to a single parent, one currently enrolled in college, the financial responsibility lies solely on my shoulders. Receiving this scholarship would impact my financial picture, tremendously!!!

Faith L  on 2/6/2019 8:38:26 AM

I applied for this scholarship because my dad recently lost his job. my mom was a stay at home mom, but now she is working as a waitress, which doesn't pay much. right now my family is struggling and Im not quite sure how I'm gonna get to college.

april p  on 1/8/2019 12:38:30 PM

yes. both my parents work in financial industry so of course I will print the information and send my request in as soon as possible. Just because they work in the financial industry doesn't mean they make a lot of money to put me thru college. Any help I can get thru scholarships is greatly appreciated.

If my father no longer works for a financial institution I'm I still eligible to apply for this Scholarship? I do qualify by other means based on my GPA.

Abby S  on 2/14/2018 12:16:46 PM

Yes, I did apply for this scholarship because I could really use the money for books and boarding expenses. This is considering the fact my mom is putting two children through college by herself.

Emily M  on 1/31/2018 7:01:50 PM

If my mom works for a hospital and part of her job is financial with regards to insurance and copays, would I qualify for this scholarship?

Christopher G  on 1/30/2018 4:39:53 PM

My father works for the US Mint, Treasury. Does this qualify as financial service?

Joseph K  on 10/4/2016 9:42:09 PM

I could not apply because my mother is unemployed. Wouldn't it make more sense to give scholarships to the applicants whose parents do not work?

Arely V  on 12/26/2015 2:10:25 PM

I could not apply for this scholarship because my mother does not work in a financial service industry

Josh H  on 2/17/2015 3:52:13 PM

I'm going to apply for the scholarship. I've kept my grades up for the last 4 years and plan to do the same when I'm in college.
