Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Thomas P. Orr Scholarship Fund was established at Freeland High School in September 1999 and transferred to the Saginaw Community Foundation in 2006. To be eligible for the Thomas P. Orr Scholarship, applicants must be a graduating senior from Freeland High school, be pursing an undergraduate or vocational degree at an accredited institution, and have a 2.5 GPA. Dollar amounts will vary.
