• In September 2016, our dear friend and SWE Life Member, Josie E. Rewald, passed away unexpectedly. In Josie’s honor, SWE-Detroit has endowed the Society’s first scholarship specifically for community college students. Applicants must be a female entering or enrolled in a full-time community college program, studying engineering, engineering technology or computer science, OR another program intending to transfer to a degree in engineering, engineering technology, or computer science. Applicants must be Michigan residents and be women or another underrepresented gender in engineering and technology.
