• Financial Aid comes in several forms: grants, scholarships, loans, work study and waivers. All students are encouraged to apply for aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA provides the foundation for opportunities that award multiple types of state, federal, and institutional funding while attending college. Families can apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA. One application is all it takes to be considered for aid at Valley City State University and at any other schools you are considering.

  Valley City State University offers the top scholarship program among all public universities in North Dakota. Scholarships are a fantastic way to help leverage the cost of a quality education from VCSU. To qualify, you must be a VCSU student in the upcoming Fall when these amounts will become effective. Transfer scholarships are based on a cumulative college GPA. Dollar amounts and requirements will vary by scholarship, but applicants should have at least a 3.0 GPA.
