I am a single mother of 3 daughters who is trying to better our lives by continuing my education. I do not have enough financial aid to help get me through my program of choice and being the sole provider for my daughters, it is hard to pay for our monthly expenses on top of school.

I’m a high school senior from Prince William County, VA and would love the chance to apply to this scholarship. I have been accepted into Virginia Tech but am currently figuring out ways to pay for my education to hopefully pursue my degree in English and computer science then attend law school. My college is my problem and therefore I have to figure out how to pay for it. If any information comes out on this scholarship I would love to find out more about it so that I can apply. I don’t want to put the heavy financial burden of all of my college on my parents and plan to pay for most of it on my own with hopefully not retaining a lot of debt when I graduate. Any scholarship amount would be highly appreciated. If you need my student resume or would like to email me in regards to this scholarship please let me know. Thank You.

Currently an undergradute student working towards a degree in Nursing. I enjoy what I do because I know I am making a difference for the patients I will soon interact with. Love the fact that of putting others first before myself because I can see the smiles on their faces with warm my heart. Enjoy other hobbies like video games, hiking, long trips with my family for the weekend. Have a small part-time job where I work with the elderly in which I enjoy.

I live in the Coalfields of Southwestern VA. Jobs are hard to come by. Either you work in fast food or become a RN or just move away from this area. My home Town of St. Paul VA is getting a State Park along the Clinch River. I want to be come a Park Ranger in my local area and be proud of my home town. I have always loved the outdoors and I want to welcome others to my home town! Thanks so much

I am a single father who is currently working and paying child support. I dropped out of school due to the death of my father in 2014; I had 19 credit hours left before receiving my Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications. I currently work as a teacher assistant, and do not make enough money at my current educational level. Finishing my degree would give me the opportunity to work towards getting a provisional teaching certificate, while studying for the teacher's exam. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that I can.

It is really hard to find a job these days without some form of graduate education, and Virginia Commonwealth University is the institution that fits different careers that I am considering. Some students have a specific career in mind when applying for colleges, but many have little idea of the specific career they would like to pursue when graduated. Right now, I consider either a career in psychology or dentistry. To help me to make up my mind, I decide to double major in dental and psychology so that both options remain open. I hope that by deepening the two topics, I will understand what really interests me and where I can see myself in the future.

is there a certain degree program I have to pursue?

Corey D  on 3/1/2018 11:40:52 AM

Is there a deadline for this scholarship? I would really love to apply to this.

Jose A  on 1/17/2018 11:51:20 AM

I am wanting to know if this scholarship has a deadline. My school said it runs out of funds. I could really have used this towards my tuition. Any information or help is greatly appreciated.

I am selecting this scholarship, based on the fact that I enjoy learning. My main major of choice is Psychology, but prefer Mathematics, because this is one of my favorite subjects. Thanks' in advance for considering me for this wonderful opportunity.
