  • Youth Foundation’s basic objective is the awarding of Hadden Scholarships to exceptionally worthy, financially needy, secondary school seniors for their undergraduate college education. The Scholarship Committee selects the recipients after carefully evaluating character, scholastic records, financial need, extra-curricular activities and community service. No scholarship is given to a student unless his or her college has agreed to refrain from reducing its own scholarship grant at the expense of the Youth Foundation’s award.

Scholarship amounts are subject to change; the award for the coming academic year is up to $5,000 per scholar. Awards are for a maximum of four regular undergraduate school years. Subject to the rules of a student’s college or university, Hadden Scholarships may be applied toward a semester or year of study abroad. Hadden Scholars must be U.S. citizens matriculating at a four-year accredited college or university established in the United States. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and demonstrate scholastic achievement, financial need and leadership ability.

Hello my name is Joaquin Godinez and I would be interested in this scholarship because it will be beneficial towards my education. I will work hard to further my education. I am grateful to find opportunities like the one that your foundation is providing to students like me who are constantly fighting for the right to receive an education. I remain persistent and will keep working hard until I reach my career goals. I am hopeful to become one or your foundations’ scholarship recipients, so that I can continue my pathway to become an engineer.
