The NBCC Foundation is proud to offer the Dr. Nicholas Vacc Scholarship. This $5,000 doctoral-level scholarship, made possible through an endowment in memory of Dr. Nicholas Vacc, aims to support the next generation of counseling professionals. The scholarship promotes research and testing that strengthens the counseling profession and helps ensure that the behavioral health needs of all Americans are met, regardless of language or culture.
Scholarship Details
- One $5,000 scholarship for doctoral-level counseling students.
- Promotes research and testing that strengthens the counseling profession.
Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Must hold the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification or meet specific criteria to apply for it.
- Must focus dissertation on research or testing that strengthens the counseling profession.
- Must be a member of Chi Sigma Iota.
Application Process
- Ensure you meet the citizenship, academic, and certification requirements.
- Prepare documentation, including proof of NCC certification or criteria for applying after the award.
- Submit your application through the NBCC Foundation website, ensuring all materials are completed by the Dec. 31st deadline.
- Await notification of scholarship awards, which will be announced by the end of March.
