  • Scholarship Description
  • The Orange County Chapter of the California Society of CPAs is proud to announce its Scholarship Award Program, offering three programs to transfer students, current undergraduates, and graduate students. Scholarships will be awarded to students with interest in pursuing professional careers in the accounting field. The Masters Scholarship is for students enrolled at a master's program at a university in Orange County or Long Beach.

    Eligibility:
    -Master's must be in accounting or tax
    -Must have completed at least one semester in the program
    -Master's GPA of 3.0 or higher
    -Pursuing a career as a CPA in our region
    -Excellent communication skills
    -Leadership ability
    -U.S. citizen or legal resident
    -Be a candidate member of CalCPA (membership is free)

Midway through his "It's OK to be White" speech at the University of Connecticut, Conservative commentator Lucian Wintrich was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct after he grabbed a woman who had swiped his notes off his lectern. The charges have since been dropped and in a reversal, the woman was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct.
