  • Scholarship Description
  • The Letterman Telecommunications Scholarships were established effective with the 1985-1986 school year by David M. Letterman, a 1970 Radio-Television graduate of Ball State. Mr. Letterman's intention is to continue these scholarships indefinitely. In 1987, he guaranteed that intention by depositing $90,000 in the Ball State Foundation for scholarships. The purpose is to provide financial assistance to Ball State majors and minors in telecommunications.

    Eligibility:
-Have between 30-105 semester hours, effective the end of the fall semester
-Be a full-time, Ball State telecommunications major or minor enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours at the time of application
-Continue as a full-time student for the semester following the awards presentation. Your creative endeavor will be evaluated by a committee of full-time telecommunications faculty and two students

Each scholarship is to be awarded on the basis of a creative endeavor. This may be in the form of a written project, a research effort, an audio, video, film, interactive media or similar presentation so long as it can be clearly defined as creative in the area of telecommunications.
