  • Scholarship Description
  • In 2004, the Foundation established the Lim, Ruger & Kim Scholarship. Today, the firm, with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, has a fresh new name, "LimNexus", and celebrates its 30th Anniversary. LimNexus continues its support of the Foundation by offering a $2,500 scholarship.

    Only a student enrolled as a law degree candidate in an accredited law school in the U.S. at least half time as determined by the school is eligible for a NAPABA Law Foundation Scholarship. The law school must be accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) or the Association of American Law Schools (AALS). The Foundation considers factors including, but not limited to, the applicant's demonstrated commitment to and interest in pro bono, public interest and/or public service legal work, financial need, leadership potential, maturity and responsibility, and commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American community. Protest at Johns Hopkins U Over Proposed Private Police Force

Student at Johns Hopkins University have staged a month-long sit-in at Garland Hall, JHU’s main administrative building, to protest the university's plans for a private police force, which was recently approved by the Maryland General Assembly. The university has had to suspend financial aid, disability, academic advising, and international services due to the protest's complete blockage. The protesting students are also demanding that JHU cancel its contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and eight students even chained themselves to Garland Hall. [...]
