  • Scholarship Description
  • The National Dairy Shrine Sophomore Merit Scholarship is to encourage qualified undergraduate students to pursue careers in the dairy industry or related occupations. Major areas include dairy production, dairy or agricultural economics, communication, or accounting, dairy research scientist, dairy genetics, dairy equipment, dairy feed or pharmaceutical marketing or sales, dairy consultant, dairy extension, education or university dairy professor.

    The scholarship is available to any undergraduate student currently enrolled in their sophomore year in a four-year college with an explicit interest in the dairy industry. Students can only receive this scholarship once. The applicant must have at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA. The scholarship will be paid when the winners are recognized at the National Dairy Shrine Awards Banquet.
