  • Scholarship Description
  • Non-traditional animal species are becoming more popular as pets throughout the world. There is a greater need for veterinarians who specialize in care and nutrition of these exotic pets.

    Oxbow’s Veterinary Medicine Scholarship is for students currently enrolled in a veterinary school and demonstrate an interest in small and exotic animal medicine.

    To qualify:
    -Complete the application available online
    -Submit a resume describing activities and job history
    -Provide two letters of reference
    -Provide proof of full-time enrollment in a college or university

    Submit a 300- to 500-word essay on one of the following topics:
    -The Future of Exotic Animal Medicine
    -The Role of Nutrition in Animal Health
    -Two of the Greatest Challenges in Exotic Animal Health
