  • Scholarship Description
  • Since 1998, The Rislov Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars to dozens of deserving and exceptional classical musicians, vocalists and organizations. Our mission is to give grants to individuals and groups that support the advancement of classical music. Successful applicants will send us a completed packet. We will not consider any application with missing information. If you are a former recipient and wish to reapply, you may do so. Several past recipients have received subsequent grants.

    A successful individual application consists of:
    -A personalized letter describing why you wish to receive a Rislov grant
    -A career narrative that describes to us in detail what you are doing, what you wish to do and how you wish to get there. Include in this section in a detailed manner how you wish to use the money, should you become an award recipient
    -A current resume
    -Proof of your enrollment in an institution of higher education/educational program, which may be a current official transcript of grades of the most recent Institution that you have attended and your acceptance letter
    -A link to a current Youtube Video that demonstrates your classical music abilities. Please do not send cd's or dvd's
    -The name, address and phone number of the accounts receivable department at the institution that you attend, in case you are a recipient
    -Your account number at the institution that you attend, so that if you are a recipient, we may remit the money to the right account at your institution
