  • Scholarship Description
  • Engineering/Geology Scholarships are given to students looking for a career in the coal industry. There are eight awards, each award is divided and distributed in two years. Winners are also offered an all-expense paid trip to the RMCMI Annual Meeting and Convention in late June where they have the opportunity to meet industry leaders and attend technical sessions.

    Eligibility:
    -Must have permanent residency in Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Utah, or Wyoming
    -Must be enrolled in a four-year institution
    -Must be at least a sophomore in college
    -Must be a U.S. citizen
    -Are looking for a career in the coal industry
    -Must attend an in-person interview in March of the application year
