  • Scholarship Description
  • To apply for a Morris A. Esmiol, Jr. Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements and submit the following with your online application:

    -Be African American (Applicants with mixed racial and ethnic backgrounds must demonstrate their racial identity to be predominantly Black/African-American. The Trustees will interview and make a determination as to the qualification in those cases that are uncertain. Information as to philosophy, commitment to the Black/African-American race and self-identity may also be considered in such areas.)
    -A copy of your most recent high school transcript or if you are already in college, a copy of your undergraduate grade transcript
    -Three current letters of recommendation from persons not related to you
    -A recent small photograph
    -A one-page personal statement
    -You must be attending or have been admitted to the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs College of Engineering and Applied Science Program
