  • Scholarship Description
  • The Great Lakes Safety Training Center Scholarship will provide an annual scholarship award to a resident of Saginaw County who is pursuing a degree or certification in trades, construction or engineering with an interest in safety. All applicants must have declared a major and be pursuing a certificate, vocational, associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree in trades, construction, or engineering with an interest in safety and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
    Must be at least a college sophomore at the time of application. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.

Midway through his "It's OK to be White" speech at the University of Connecticut, Conservative commentator Lucian Wintrich was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct after he grabbed a woman who had swiped his notes off his lectern.
