  • Scholarship Description
  • The Mi Future Educator Fellowship offers aspiring teachers a scholarship while they train to be educators. Awards cover the cost of tuition and fees up to $10,000 and are renewable for up to three years. Students that receive the award commit to teaching in a Michigan classroom for at least three years after graduation. In addition to the $10,000 scholarships for prospective teachers, the program offers student teachers, who are usually unpaid, a $9,600 stipend.

    To qualify, students must: fill out their FAFSA application; have begun their first semester or term in the education program; be a high school graduate; be working on your first teacher certification; have earned at least 56 semester credits or 84 term credits; Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0; be a Michigan resident since July 1st of the previous year; be enrolled full time (or equivalency if participating through an Alternative Certification Program).
