  • Scholarship Description
  • Eligibility: Pursuing a degree or certification in specific areas of agriculture; chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering; human nutrition; food services; hospitality; communications; marketing; public relations or journalism.

    Applicants must in an identified state and county. Applicants must have strong leadership skills and have participated in community service. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required.

    General eligibility:
    -Be less than 23 years of age at time of application (February 1)
    -Be current FFA members unless otherwise stated
    -Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    -Plan to attend post-secondary school in the U.S.
    -Be a full-time student
    -Actively attending classes
    -Minimum 12 credit hours if enrolled in a post-secondary institution

Midway through his "It's OK to be White" speech at the University of Connecticut, Conservative commentator Lucian Wintrich was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct after he grabbed a woman who had swiped his notes off his lectern. The charges have since been dropped and in a reversal, the woman was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct.
