  • Scholarship Description
  • Austin College awards the Sara Bernice Moseley Scholarship to students with records of academic achievement who are members of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Strong candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to the Church and to service to others. A limited number of awards are available each year and are awarded annually. This scholarship is renewable for each undergraduate year, provided a student is involved in meaningful ways in the life of the Church and in service to others and remains in good academic standing.

    Eligibility:
    -Active membership in a Presbyterian Church congregation for at least the past two years
    -Nomination/recommendation from a Presbyterian Church professional (minister or Christian education director), a former or current officer (elder or deacon), or an Austin College trustee or graduate who is a member of a Presbyterian Church
    -Evidence of academic achievement
    -Leadership qualities as evidenced by involvement in church, school, or community activities
    -Evidence of service or ministry to others
