Scholarship Description

he Baxter International Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist employees' children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

Eligibility: -Dependent, unmarried children of a current, active employee of Baxter International, Inc. The employee must be employed in the United States or one of Baxter's international subsidiaries or must be a United States citizen assigned to a Baxter subsidiary facility abroad and must have completed at least three (3) years of full-time or regular part-time service, as defined by Baxter, as an employee at the time of application -Retired employees are not eligible -Dependent children are defined as natural, legally adopted or legal wards of an employee, stepchild of an employee whose spouse has legal custody or provides primary financial support, or a child of a domestic partner who has legal custody or provides primary financial support -Secondary school/high school seniors, secondary school/high school graduates or undergraduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year -23 years of age or less at the time of application -Children of Vice Presidents and above are not eligible

Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study. Satisfactory academic performance is defined as maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for domestic students (2.5 on a 4.0 scale for the freshman year) and 2.5 for international students.
