  • Scholarship Description
  • The Beth Middleton Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a current or former FCCLA state or national officer who exhibits outstanding leadership, scholarship, and community service, and who demonstrates well roundedness through various activities. Each applicant will be evaluated based on the application information provided, and a recipient will be selected by a selection committee.

    Open to a nationally affiliated FCCLA member who:
    -Has been a member for a minimum of 2 years (does not have to be consecutive)
    -Is a current or former FCCLA state or national officer
    -Is currently a senior (grade 12) in high school
    -Has a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
    -Must maintain a 3.0 GPA in their post-secondary school in order to receive a second award payment
    -Is affiliated with National FCCLA by March 1

Midway through his "It's OK to be White" speech at the University of Connecticut, Conservative commentator Lucian Wintrich was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct after he grabbed a woman who had swiped his notes off his lectern. The charges have since been dropped and in a reversal, the woman was arrested and charged with attempted larceny and disorderly conduct.
