This scholarship is the one for me. I love doing missions trip and helping others.

Going to college opens a lot of doors to one's life but it is far from free. Whatever aid I can receive really goes a long way and will help me pursuit my dreams of being in the business world.

Receiving the scholarship means a lot to me knowing I already have a hard time paying for my every year fee in high school. The $1000 may not get me through all my years of college but enough for me to know what I need to build on.

I would love the opportunity to win this scholarship because I want to become a business manager or even start my own. I have several volunteer hours with cancer patients, food drives, cleaning, marathons to raise money, etc.

Hello, I'm applying for this scholarship to help in my pursuit of a biology degree. I'm passionate about my studies, consistent with my academics and involved with community service. I held a toy drive to help our local hospital's pediatric unit. I'm actively involved in community sport organizations and with my church as a youth member. This scholarship will help me reach my goal in becoming a biologist. Thank you.

Well, I guess I ought to apply for this if I ever want the slightest chance of becoming an animator or game designer. It would certainly help, but only a bit. That still counts though. Every bit of money adds up. So, yeah. I'm applying.

Winning this scholarship would mean a lot to me because I want to go to college to be a pediatrician but I'm currently a Senior and working towards my CNA. I have done community service at a Senior Center because I love helping people.

I would love to have this scholarship. I start college at Southwest Baptist University in the fall of 2021. I love to play basketball and softball. I also really enjoy being on the lake. I have a Shih-Tzu naked Ace and I love him dearly!

I would encourage this award to be extended to online public cyber charter schools. Many of these schools offer coursework more difficult than the local districts and the students are motivated to achieve excellent grades. Some students also strive to complete both a full load of high school coursework and college courses taken at local community colleges. Students often include many extra-curriculars from school clubs to sports at both the local districts and privately. It does the community a disservice to exclude these highly motivated students.

Does anyone know how to get volunteer hours and where?

Amanda w  on 11/4/2018 9:10:22 PM

The essay needed for eligibility, what is it about? What is the topic in which we are writing?

Patricia S  on 8/19/2012 5:42:16 PM

I applied for this scholarship in fifth grade and won in 2008, I've been recognized as a repeat or returning scholar in 2010, 2011 and 2012. It's a great program, Dr. Carson is such an inspiration!

A'zani C  on 1/10/2012 7:15:56 PM
