The Juanita Buchanan Undergraduate Academic Scholarship is in memory of a very devoted member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Kappa Zeta Chapter. During her life, she belonged to many organizations and volunteered her services wherever needed. The Kappa Zeta chapter elected to set up a scholarship fund for collegiates to honor her memory to our chapter.
The scholarship is to be awarded to a high school student enrolled in dual credit college classes as well as an undergraduate matriculating at an accredited Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex college or university.
Eligibility:
-Must be a high school senior receiving dual college credit or an undergraduate matriculating at an accredited Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex college or university
-Must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
-Must be involved in community service and/or organized campus activities
The winner will be selected based on the documentation and recommendations submitted. The winner will receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,500; with $750 being distributed the first semester and $750 distributed the second semester if a GPA of 3.0 or higher is maintained. The winner will be honored at the Annual Finer Womanhood & Scholarship Tea.
