  • Scholarship Description
  • Scholarships are awarded to incoming first-year students by the admissions office based on a student's overall academic achievements. In order to be considered a candidate for an academic scholarship, students generally rank in the top 25% of their high school class or better or have a combined critical reading and math SAT score of at least 1150 or ACT composite of at least 25. Students can receive our Trustee, Dean's or Quinnipiac Academic Scholarship which can be renewed for up to four undergraduate years, unless specified otherwise on the scholarship letter, providing that the student maintains a certain minimum cumulative GPA, in most cases a 3.0. and full-time student status. Scholarships are renewable for the time period specified in the student's scholarship letter and the amount remains the same in subsequent years. Student Loan Debt Forgiveness for U.S. Military Veterans

The U.S. Department of Education plans to forgive $1.3 billion in outstanding student loan debt for roughly 25,000 disabled U.S. military veterans, beginning in July. Until now, the Department of Education had required veterans to formally apply for student loan forgiveness - having them complete "unnecessary paperwork to secure relief from their student loans, even after the Department of Veterans Affairs had found that a veteran met the legal requirements for disability-related loan forgiveness." In 2018, over 30,000 totally and permanently disabled veterans eligible for student loan forgiveness had not completed the necessary paperwork; a majority of which had defaulted on their student loans.
