Scholarship Description

Education is vital to the growth and future of every community. Because of this, the Saginaw Community Foundation administers a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational students. Since awarding our first $500 scholarship in 1987, the Saginaw Community Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships. The Saginaw Education Association, the teachers’ union for the Saginaw Public Schools, was established to represent the 700 teachers within the City of Saginaw and to enhance the education of the community’s children. To be eligible for the Saginaw Education Association Member Scholarship, applicants must: be a high school senior, with full-time enrollment pursuing an undergraduate (bachelor's) degree; be the child of a current member of the Saginaw Education Association; and have a 3.0 GPA. Dollar amounts will vary.
