Scholarship Description
Armenian American Medical Society Scholarships are awarded to students who are of Armenian Descent or demonstrated a special interest in Armenian medical causes and who participate in Armenian community service. Scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in U.S. accredited medical, pharmacy, dental, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare schools.
AAMS’ mission is to promote excellence in healthcare and to cultivate professional development through service and education to its members and their communities in the diaspora and the homeland. The Armenian American Medical Society strongly believes in investing in our future healthcare professionals who will play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community. Initiated under the direction of Dr. Varoosh Alaverdian and Dr. Raffi Tachdjian, AAMS awards scholarships to qualified Armenian students enrolled in various healthcare education programs in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing and allied health.
