The Regina C. Williams Memorial Scholarship seeks to identify Prince George’s County high school seniors (cannot be current college students) who have been accepted into a collegiate institution and will pursue a bachelor’s degree in education. Eligible applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, and be a US citizen or permanent resident. The recipients may use scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. The award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year (fall through spring), and for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, room, board, and/or books.
The Regina C. Williams Memorial Scholarship Foundation honors the name and legacy of an African American woman of incredible spirit, character, and determination. Throughout her life, she used her God-given talents to impact the lives of many people — near and far. Spending nearly thirty years as a public servant in the Prince George’s County Public Schools System, she served first as a teacher, then as a Vice-Principal and lastly as a Principal. Regina took honor in providing top-quality education to our next generation.
