  • Scholarship Description
  • The Richard Holland Memorial Scholarship was established to remember the life and legacy of a great man, friend, son, and brother. Richard Holland was more than any one of these things - he was an infectious personality, a loyal teammate, a genuine smile, and a young soul. Applicants must plan to enroll or be enrolled in full time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire academic year. Must demonstrate leadership and participation in extracurricular activities and demonstrate financial need. The award is renewable up to 3 years. My son is pursuing a career in Astrophysics. Currently he developed a Facebook page and astronomy club with the town Mayor and council. He has well over 122 members (adults) and growing. Schedules monthly meetings (outdoor ) with sophisticated telescopes teaching the stars. He was personally invited by his Pascack Valley district to attend a stem program in Europe including a tour and lecture at CERN.

Protest at Johns Hopkins U Over Proposed Private Police Force

Student at Johns Hopkins University have staged a month-long sit-in at Garland Hall, JHU’s main administrative building, to protest the university's plans for a private police force, which was recently approved by the Maryland General Assembly. The university has had to suspend financial aid, disability, academic advising, and international services due to the protest's complete blockage. The protesting students are also demanding that JHU cancel its contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and eight students even chained themselves to Garland Hall. [...]
