I am a full-time working single mother who is trying to pursue a college degree. This scholarship would be of great financial help and a valuable investment into my furthering my college education.

Hi! My name is Liam Bigbee and I am excited to apply for the SILA foundation scholarship. I just finished my freshman year at Texas Christian University with a 3.79 GPA. I am studying pre-business currently with an interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, international business and business administration. My minor is spanish for business professionals which I am very excited about. I am applying for this scholarship to help out my family during this time. My parents both work very hard to support our family and do a great job doing so. This award would help my family with the cost of my school and would motivate me to work even harder in my next 3 years.

I applied because I am trying to go into finance and the SILA scholarship would allow me to further understand my field by helping me attend Penn STate and later transfer to Cornell University.

I applied for this scholarship because I am a young woman who works full time to support myself. My parents don't help pay for anything. I want to return to school without having to worry about paying for it along with my other bills.
