  • Scholarship Description
  • The SILA Foundation awards ten (10) $2,500 scholarships for use at an accredited post-secondary college or university. Students must be enrolled in one of the following disciplines: insurance studies, finance or accounting, business administration, marketing, or education. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of nine (9) credit hours at an accredited post-secondary school or be employed full-time and enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours at an accredited post-secondary school. I applied because I am trying to go into finance and the SILA scholarship would allow me to further understand my field by helping me attend Penn STate and later transfer to Cornell University.

I applied for this scholarship because I am a young woman who works full time to support myself. My parents don't help pay for anything. I want to return to school without having to worry about paying for it along with my other bills.
