  • Scholarship Description
  • Our academic scholarships identify future leaders of the industry through a highly competitive application process. We provide up to 52 scholarships annually to students from the highest caliber of tourism and hospitality programs across the United States and Canada and award a total of $70,000 in scholarships.

    Tourism Cares Academic Scholarships are offered in three categories:

    Applicants for undergraduate and graduate scholarships must be full or part-time student enrolled in a travel, tourism, or hospitality related program of study who are pursuing an associate's, bachelor's, or masters degree and are enrolled in the fall semester of a two or four-year college/university in the U.S. or Canada. Minimum 3.0 GPA

    Applicants for graduate research scholarships must be full or part-time student conducting graduate research in a travel or tourism related field who is enrolled in the fall semester at a four-year university in the U.S. or Canada. Minimum 3.0

    Applicants for high school scholarships must be a citizen or permanent resident in the U.S. and a high school senior who has/will successfully completed/complete an Academy of Hospitality Tourism Program (AOHT) at their high school and is entering freshmen year in the fall semester at a two or four-year university in the U.S. or Canada. Protest at Johns Hopkins U Over Proposed Private Police Force

Student at Johns Hopkins University have staged a month-long sit-in at Garland Hall, JHU’s main administrative building, to protest the university's plans for a private police force, which was recently approved by the Maryland General Assembly. The university has had to suspend financial aid, disability, academic advising, and international services due to the protest's complete blockage. The protesting students are also demanding that JHU cancel its contracts with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and eight students even chained themselves to Garland Hall. [...]
