VSAC Board of Directors Scholarships

The VSAC Board of Directors Scholarships include the following:


Bette Matkowski
- Created to honor the contributions Bette Matkowski made as a VSAC board member during her tenure from August 1993 through January 2001
- Be an adult planning to upgrade employment skills
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Demonstrate financial need
- Two $1,000 scholarships (non-renewable)

Joseph Boutin
- Created to honor the contributions Joseph Boutin made as a VSAC board member from October 1985 through June 2007
- Attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding (Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS loans)
- Reside in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont (Caledonia, Essex, or Orleans counties) - OR - reside in Burlington
- Demonstrate financial need
- Two $1,000 scholarships

Joan Goodrich
- Created to honor the contributions Joan Goodrich made as a VSAC board member during her tenure from October 1985 through July 2003
- Reside in Bennington or Rutland County
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Seek a degree in the visual/performing arts
- Demonstrate financial need
- Two $1,000 scholarships (renewable for up to three additional years)

Jon F. Ratti
- Created to honor the contributions Jon F. Ratti made as a VSAC board member during his tenure from November 1999 through June 2005
- Graduate (or have graduated) from one of the following high schools: Bellows Falls Union High School, Green Mountain Union High School, or Springfield High School
- Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
- Enroll full-time in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program
- Demonstrate financial need
- Demonstrate academic achievement
- Demonstrate school/community involvement
- One $1,000 scholarship (non-renewable)
