Juniata Calvert Ellis Scholarship
Juniata merit awards are given to all matriculating Juniata students who meet the academic qualifications. The value of the individual award is based upon a sliding scale with two components: standardized test results and student GPA.
Juniata uses a recalculated GPA based upon the weight of each course in the student’s schedule. Only college prep courses, honors, advanced placement courses or International Baccalaureate are counted in the recalculations. The award is based principally upon test scores and GPA. However, a student’s entire application including recommendations, activities and other factors may be taken into account to selectively determine the actual scholarship value within the range.
The Academic Merit Award is awarded to students with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and 1200 SAT (27 ACT), or 3.7 GPA and 1110 SAT.
