TKE Educational Foundation Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Leadership Award

The retired President and Chairman of Walgreen Drug Company was initiated in 1925 at Upsilon Chapter, University of Michigan. He is a past Grand Officer of TKE, provided start-up funding for the TKE Leadership Academy, and was Honorary Chairman of the Foundation's Centennial Endowment Campaign. Walgreen is recipient of the Alumnus of the Year Award (1976), Order of the Golden Eagle (1989) and the Fraternity for Life Award (1997).

Given in recognition of outstanding leadership, as demonstrated by an individual's activities and accomplishments within the chapter; on campus and in the community, while maintaining a good academic record. All initiated collegiate members of TKE, in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, are eligible to apply.
