THINK’s mission is to make STEM research and development accessible to creative and motivated high school students who have big ideas to change the world, but who need help implementing them. Rather than recognizing students’ completion of a project after the fact, we support students who wish to implement new ideas from start to finish. Winners of the program will receive up to $1,000 of seed funding and continued mentorship from our team to help make their idea a reality.
The MIT THINK Scholars Program is an educational outreach initiative that promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics by supporting and funding projects developed by high school students. The program is run by a team of undergraduate students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and sponsored by technology companies and educational organizations as part of MIT TechX. The program is open to all high school students (including homeschooled ones) residing in the United States. Students apply to the program by submitting a proposal for any novel science, technology, or engineering idea.
