  • Scholarship Description
  • The Oliver Joel and Ellen Pell Denny Healthcare Scholarship may provide a scholarship for North Carolina residents seeking a first-time associate or baccalaureate degree, certificate, or diploma in a healthcare field. Consideration may also be given to graduate nursing degrees on a limited basis depending on available funding. Preference is given to residents of Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin counties.

    Eligibility:
    -Be seeking a two or four-year degree or be enrolled in a program leading to a certificate or diploma
    -Attend an accredited North Carolina school pursuing healthcare education such as, but not limited to, registered nursing, licensed practical nursing, nuclear medicine, radiography, and respiratory therapy
    -Have a high school/college cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 for all healthcare programs
    -Provide an acceptance letter for the enrolled program
    -Demonstrate financial need (not restricted to lower incomes)
