Scholarship Description
To be eligible for the Navy & Marine Corps Dependents Education Foundation Scholarship, students must be: A dependent child of active duty, retired, or deceased while on active duty US Navy or US Marine Corps personnel; A resident of California at time of application; A graduating senior in high school; Top 10% of class OR 3.6 cumulative GPA or higher; Able to show evidence of acceptance to a 4-year college or university in the United States in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship will provide up to $15k per year, renewable for consecutive years not to exceed a total of four years.
All candidates must complete an application. If the candidate has had unusual or extraordinary financial hardship in the family, due to loss of job, income, or additional expenses, then they may also complete a Special Circumstances Form to be submitted with the Application Package. Scholarship can be used to cover tuition, academic fees and books. May not be used for room and board.
