Letitia B. Carter Scholarship

The Letitia B. Carter Scholarship is named for the former President of the Restaurant Association of Maryland. The Carter Scholarship is designed to assist three groups. High school students wishing to attend culinary school, high school or college instructors looking to further their education, and hospitality industry professionals seeking to enhance their hospitality skills.

Candidates must pursue hospitality-related coursework and be a resident of the state of Maryland, but do not have to attend school in Maryland.

High school or college students must have at least a 3.0 average on a 4.0 scale and be able to document 400 hours of hospitality industry experience. Teachers and industry professionals must document at least 1500 hours of industry experience.
