  • Scholarship Description
  • PCA awards scholarships of $1,000-$2,000 are given to high school athletes, based on their essays explaining how they meet the standard defined in "Elevating Your Game: Becoming a Triple-Impact Competitor": Personal Mastery: Making oneself better, Leadership: Making one's teammates better, and Honoring the Game: Making the game better.

    Eligibility:
    -Current high school junior
    -GPA of 2.5 or above
    -Must be a current U.S. resident
    -Participant in individual or team sport sponsored by school or local club

    Submission materials:
    -Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship Application
    -One testimonial from a school administrator (athletic director, teacher, counselor, etc.)
    -One testimonial from a coach
    -At least one testimonial (and up to three) by individuals who are familiar with the student-athlete and able to speak to his/her embodiment of the Triple-Impact Competitor principles (for example fellow teammates, competitors, referees etc.)

A Cornell University senior presented a trial run of her senior thesis wearing nothing but her bra and panties in protest of her professor's comments about the length of the shorts she was wearing. Offended and taken aback by the comments, she further invited others to support her on the day of the presentation by stripping down to their undergarments with her during her 15-minute address. [...]
