  • Scholarship Description
  • Ameriflight is accepting applications for scholarships to fund students in the aviation industry. These scholarships will be available for the upcoming spring semester. We are giving at least one scholarship to each of our partner schools. We have $21,000 to give away. Each scholarship awarded will be at least $1,000.

    All applicants must be enrolled in a pilot or A&P mechanic program at one of Ameriflight's partner schools and be classified as a junior or senior (or be nearing the end of their schooling).

    ERAU - Prescott, AZ
    ERAU - Daytona Beach, FL
    Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology
    University of North Dakota
    California Baptist University
    Vincennes University
    Ivy Tech Community College
    American Flyers
    Hillsboro Aero Academy

    Students must also write a 500-word essay detailing what they love about aviation; their need and desire for scholarship money; and their current career goals, both short- and long-term.

Student Group Cancels Controversial Debate at University of Chicago

A controversial immigration debate was canceled this week by a student group at The University of Chicago - a university which "prides itself on protecting free speech, even offensive speech." The Edmund Burke Society, a conservative parliamentary debating society, canceled the debate, claiming it "could not assure an orderly event," particularly following the uproar over how the group had described the event.
