  • Scholarship Description
  • Funded by the law firm of Buttafuoco & Associates, YCL was created to support the next generation of dedicated, Christian professionals who will use their talents to impact their families, communities, and the world. YCL is for the empowerment of students who have shown dedication, character, promise, determination and a desire to apply those qualities to their God-given calling. Young people under the age of 24 who are either high school seniors entering college or are currently full-time undergraduates are eligible to apply. Graduate students are not eligible.

    Eligibility:
    -Be attending, active members of their local church. College students who attend school away from home will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and a representative from the scholarship committee will verify the applicant's membership status with his/her home church
    -Minimum 3.0 GPA
    -Be already enrolled or have plans to be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program
    -Graduate students are not eligible
    -Be a permanent resident of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut, but can attend college/university elsewhere

    All applications received by the 15th of the month will be considered for the next month's contest. Applications received after the 15th will be considered for the month after the next. (e.g., an application received on April 16th will be considered for June). Email applications will not be accepted.

I connect to almost all of the criteria on this scholarship, but I live in Michigan and will attend a college as well. Is there any way for me to still be eligible for this scholarship even though I am from out of the area? Thank you for your consideration.

Not sure what happened in the description on this website, but for the actual scholarship you have to be a resident from New York or Connecticut, this doesn't include PA or NJ.
